Welcome to St Patrick’s Parish School, Cooma, in 2012.We are a Kindergarten to Year 10 Catholic school that has been delivering a holistic education to students on the Monaro for over 100 years. Gospel values underpin all that takes place at St Patrick’s as we enrich the spiritual, academic, social and physical development of the children entrusted to us. 2012 promises to be another exciting and fulfilling year in the life of our school. Our school vision statement at St Patrick’s is “A School with Altitude” which challenges every member of our school community to strive to achieve their best in whatever they do. This statement complements our motto “Strength in Gentleness” whereby in achieving our best we must be aware of our relationship and interaction with others around us. We promote an atmosphere at our school of mutual respect as an integral part of relationships in a Christ-centred environment.
Opportunities abound at St Patrick’s for your child to extend themselves through an extensive extra-curricular program. Children are encouraged by staff to become involved in areas of school activity that will continue to enrich them throughout their lives. Whether this involvement is in the arts, cultural pursuits, sporting endeavours or areas of personal growth, it is important that students feel open to developing their full potential. I invite you to have a look at our weekly newsletter to see the exciting array of opportunities available to our students. I would encourage you to visit our school and see for yourself “A School with Altitude” in action. Please feel free to contact me to arrange a mutually convenient time for a visit. The school may be contacted via email through office@stpatscooma.nsw.edu.au. Kind regards
